Stamford Corn Exchange Comedy Club
Stamford Corn Exchange in association with Chuckl. bring you the very best in stand up comedy.

Paul Sinha (Chortle Award Winner, Would I Lie to You?, The Chase) / Troy Hawke (‘undeniably funny’ – Chortle, ‘mad comic genius’ – The Scotsman) / Matt Bragg (“Great stuff, excellent gags!” – Harry Hill) / Stephanie Laing (‘Gloriously silly … wonderfully unpretentious’ Broadway Baby, ★★★★ Arts Award Voice

Paul Sinha

Paul is a familiar voice on radio with appearances on Radio 4’s Just A Minute and The News Quiz and on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk. His own Radio 4 series ‘Paul Sinha’s History Revision’ won the Rose d’Or for radio comedy in 2016. He’s also appeared on television on BBC’s QI and Would I Lie to You? and as a competitor on Taskmaster.

A lifetime of curiosity and learning informs Paul’s comedy but now also ranks him as one of the UK’s finest quizzers. This has led to yet another concurrent career, this time as a general knowledge expert on the award-winning ITV quiz show, The Chase

Troy Hawke

Troy Hawke is an erudite homeschooled 1930″s throwback…the Errol Flynn of the high street. Educated, sophisticated, but utterly clueless. He tackles modern issues head on in his uniquely untimely manner.

Matt Bragg

The son of television warm up man Bobby Bragg, Matt has been performing stand up all over the country for the last 5 years. With a unique, low energy, deadpan style and meticulously crafted material he has been gaining acclaim from audiences, promoters and comedians alike. As well as performing at some of the largest clubs in the UK, supporting Harry Hill, Lloyd Griffith (Soccer AM) and Phoenix Night’s Clinton Baptiste on tour, he was also selected for Just The Tonic’s Big Value showcase at the Edinburgh Festival in 2019. This year he was nominated, and finished as the runner up, in the prestigious Leicester Mercury’s Comedian of the Year along with becoming.

“Great stuff, excellent gags! Thoroughly enjoyable” – Harry Hill
“Very funny. Way beyond highly recommended” – Johnny Vegas

Stephanie Laing

Stephanie is best described as goofy and peculiar, and her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.

Now a regular on the circuit Stephanie has also become a stalwart of comedy festivals across the country having appeared atBrighton Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, York Comedy Festival, Bath Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festivalas well as appearing at theEdinburgh Fringe every year since 2010.Not content with just performing in the UK Stephanie has also appeared atUCB inNew York & The Laugh Factory in L.A.
